The workshop fee includes all workshop activities, transfers, tastings, meals, as listed on the official program notes. If you need to cancel, you will be receive a full refund, if you cancel on or before September 1st, 2010. A $200 cancellation fee will apply on or after September 2nd, 2010, due to the fact that many contracts for activities are negotiated based on expected numbers of workshop attendees. We will do our best to find a replacement for any cancellations, and if at all possible, a full refund will be issued if a replacement attendee can be secured.
Workshop attendees are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation to and from Penticton, and any tours or expenses outside the scope of the official program.
Please note that if you are able to secure an article assignment related to your stay in the Okanagan, please contact the workshop coordinator, Jennifer Cockrall-King, as soon as possible as you may be eligible for travel expense assistance.
Penticton does have an airport with daily Air Canada Jazz flights from Vancouver International Airport. The Penticton airport has good taxi service, as well as car rental services. The airport in Kelowna is about a 1.5 hour drive from Penticton, and that is another option. If you have questions about getting to and from Penticton, please contact me for more information. If at all possible, we will try to coordinate taxi sharing or ride-sharing for any attendees.

Please refer to "The Okanagan Food & Wine Writers Workshop" to receive the discounted room rates. Reservations must be confirmed with an advance deposit for the first night room and taxes prior to July 16, 2010 to ensure rates and availability.
Attendees for The Okanagan Food & Wine Writers Workshop need to make reservations for the nights of September 16 through 18, 2010. If anyone would like to share a room with another attendee, just contact me at jennifer@foodgirl.ca and I will do my best to coordinate this.
